Uz Fees Structure 2022

The University of Zimbabwe (UZ) is one of the leading universities in the country, offering a wide range of courses and programs to its students. In order to ensure that the students have access to quality education, the university has set up a fees structure that they need to observe in order to be able to pursue their studies.

Undergraduate Programmes

For undergraduate programmes, tuition fees are set according to the course that the student has chosen. For example, a student who is studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science would be required to pay a tuition fee of $2,320 per semester. Similarly, a student who is studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Law would be required to pay a tuition fee of $2,700 per semester. The tuition fee may also vary according to the duration of the programme. For example, a student who is studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics for four years would be required to pay a tuition fee of $2,890 per semester, whereas if the student is studying the same programme for three years, he/she would be required to pay a tuition fee of $2,500 per semester.

Postgraduate Programmes

For postgraduate programmes, the tuition fees are set according to the course that the student has chosen. For example, a student who is studying a Master’s Degree in Business Administration would be required to pay a tuition fee of $4,800 per semester. Similarly, a student who is studying a Doctorate Degree in Law would be required to pay a tuition fee of $7,000 per semester.

Other Expenses

Apart from the tuition fees, students are also required to pay other expenses such as accommodation fees, transport fees, books and other materials fees. Accommodation fees are set according to the type of accommodation that the student has chosen. For example, a student who is staying in a shared room would be required to pay an accommodation fee of $385 per semester, whereas a student who is staying in a single room would be required to pay an accommodation fee of $480 per semester.

Transport fees are also set according to the distance between the student’s residence and the university. For example, a student who is travelling from a distance of 5km would be required to pay a transport fee of $120 per semester, whereas a student who is travelling from a distance of 10km would be required to pay a transport fee of $180 per semester.

Books and other materials fees are also set according to the course that the student has chosen. For example, a student who is studying a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology would be required to pay a books and other materials fee of $400 per semester, whereas a student who is studying a Master’s Degree in Economics would be required to pay a books and other materials fee of $500 per semester.
