Unimak 2022/2023 is an upcoming international youth exchange program sponsored by the United Nations Association of Malaysia (UNAM). It is a two-year program committed to advancing global youth leadership and fostering sustainable development.
Unimak 2022/2023 seeks to empower and equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to become the next generation of global leaders. Through a series of workshops, seminars, and conferences, participants will deepen their understanding of global issues and explore solutions to pressing problems.
The program focuses on four core areas: Human Rights and Democracy, Sustainable Development, Cultural Diversity, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will gain knowledge and skills in these areas through interactive activities, such as simulations, debates, and group projects.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to meet and work with fellow youth from around the world. This includes networking with experts and professionals in the field, learning from their experiences and perspectives, and developing meaningful collaborations.
The program also includes a field study component. During this time, participants will travel to different parts of Malaysia and explore the country’s culture, history, and sustainable development initiatives. Through visits to UNAM’s partner communities, they will gain first-hand experience in tackling global issues.
At the end of the program, participants will develop an action plan to continue working on global issues and foster sustainable development in their home countries. They will also be eligible to participate in UNAM’s Global Youth Leadership Forum and receive a certificate of completion.
Unimak 2022/2023 is an exciting opportunity for young people to develop the skills, knowledge, and networks they need to become agents of positive change. Applications are now open and will close on December 31, 2021.
