The University of Namibia (UNAM) has opened its online application for the 2022 academic year for mature age applicants. The application period will run from 1 August 2021 to 31 January 2022.
In order to be eligible for admission to UNAM through the Mature Age Entry Scheme, applicants must be at least 25 years of age on or before 31 December 2021 and must have been out of school for a minimum of two years.
The Mature Age Entry Scheme is designed for applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements for admission to the University of Namibia, and who have not been accepted via the normal admission process. The scheme provides an opportunity for applicants to study at the University of Namibia while completing the National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Applicants must submit the following documents with their application:
1. A completed Mature Age Entry Scheme application form.
2. A certified copy of the applicant’s ID document or passport.
3. Certified copies of academic transcripts and certificates (if applicable).
4. Certified copies of any other relevant documentation or certificates.
5. A motivation letter.
6. A non-refundable application fee of N$100.
All applications must be submitted no later than 31 January 2022. Late applications will not be considered.
Successful applicants will be required to attend an interview with a panel of UNAM representatives. The interview will serve to evaluate the applicant’s suitability for the Mature Age Entry Scheme.
Applicants should note that admission to the Mature Age Entry Scheme does not guarantee admission to the University of Namibia. Admission will be based on the availability of space and the applicants’ academic results.
