Jimma University is proud to announce its PhD Program for the 2022/23 academic year. This program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to pursue advanced research, develop their knowledge, and acquire the necessary skills to become effective researchers and professionals.

The PhD Program at Jimma University is divided into two main components: research and coursework. The research component is aimed at providing students with an opportunity to develop and conduct their research projects in the areas of their choice. The coursework component is designed to provide the students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and methods of research in the relevant fields of study.

The research component is divided into two parts: a research proposal and a thesis. In order to be eligible for the PhD Program, students must meet the following requirements:

– Have obtained a minimum score of 500 on the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE)
– Demonstrate proficiency in research and writing

The proposal must be approved by the department before the student can begin the research component.
