The Bank of Namibia (BoN) is offering bursaries to financially assist students in their studies for the 2023 academic year. The bursaries are available to Namibian citizens who are pursuing studies in the fields of economics, finance, accounting, business administration, banking, and financial services at selected universities and universities of technology in Namibia.
The Bank of Namibia bursary programme strives to promote access to quality educational opportunities in the fields of economics, finance, accounting, business administration, banking and financial services. The programme also seeks to promote the use of the skills and knowledge acquired by successful bursary holders to the development of the Namibian economy.
The Bank of Namibia bursary selection criteria are based on academic performance, financial need, leadership potential and commitment to public service. All applicants must have obtained a minimum Grade 12 mark of 65%. All applicants must also have a minimum GPA of 3.0 from their most recent studies.
Applicants must submit their applications to the bursary office at the Bank of Namibia before the closing date of applications. The application forms can be downloaded from the Bank of Namibia website. All applications must be accompanied by certified copies of the following documents:

• Academic Transcripts
• Motivation letter
• Curriculum Vitae
The Bank of Namibia bursary covers tuition fees and accommodation fees at the university or university of technology of the successful bursary holder’s choice. It also covers books, living allowance and travel expenses.
Successful applicants will be notified of their selection by the Bank of Namibia Bursary Office. All successful applicants must sign an agreement with the Bank of Namibia, agreeing to work for the Bank upon completion of their studies.
